Research the Feminist art movement as illustrated through the PST exhibit. Be sure to note if certain themes, motifs or ideas correlate with any particular social or political issues that relate at the time of its inception and/or production. Are there any main ideas that are being sublimated through select piece(s)? Do you see connections between different artists who share similar approaches, opinions? If so, who are they and how are they represented? Current events, news media, archives and videos would be helpful.

Select an art piece that you feel most embodies an artist’s individual social or political views as it relates to Feminism. Deconstruct the artwork and use relevant terms and details to nuance the piece for its overt or esoteric content. Discuss size, shape, dimension, technique; medium, method; public/private sector; performance or installation, etc. Include date and location of original exhibit.
